"Kosmo" started his real estate career in Southern California after building the very first fully off-grid solar custom home in Phoenix, Arizona. He had spent the previous 21 years practicing medicine in California, for several months during that time he was in the peace core going to Vietnam, Loas and Cambodia as a young doctor and solar energy enthusiast. George, "Kosmo" (his real middle name) and his family moved to back to the Big island in July of 2011, so their daughter could grow up around family as Kosmo's wife was born and raised in Hilo. George Kosmo Kosmides was born in Canton, Ohio and raised on the west coast and enjoys all water sports.
